Leader for Low-Carbon power generation in North America
Bruce County RFC was proudly founded in early 2008. That means 2018 will be our 10th anniversary!
With a goal to become more regional, the club has been able to make rugby accessible to the whole of Bruce County. Our subsequent membership is a direct reflection of that goal, with players coming from all across the Bruce Peninsula. We have come together to promote the sportsmanship of the sport both on and off the field while at the same time breaking down or completely eradicating small town rivalry that can quite often exist in other team sports.
Along with the Wave Flag Rugby program and introducing Junior Rugby, the club has gone from strength to strength. In 2009 the Senior Men captured their first ever title by winning the NRU B Championship. In 2010 the club has expanded to include a Senior Womens team, and claimed the NRU A Championship. 2011 was a building year with two Senior Mens teams and the Womens Banshees team. BCRFC claimed both the Fall Cup and the Niagara Referees Association's Annual Club Award. 2012 has seen the Wave Flag Rugby join the two Barbarians squads and the Banshees as the official youth club. BCRFC now calls Tiverton home, and continues to invest in the playing grounds in Tiverton.
Behind the scenes the club has an executive in place that works extremely hard in making the club a success and builds the foundation for future members. The club is heavily involved in supporting local organisations including MS Walks, Autism Speaks, Women's House Serving Grey Bruce and Pumpkinfest to name just a few. The club and executive are always in need of more volunteers, so please contact a member and lend us a hand.
Any member or visitor can read our club Code of Conduct and the Wave Code of Conduct which we strongly stand by. Also available for review is the Emergency Action Plan for the safety of all players and teams visiting our Tiverton fields.
Bruce County RFC Inc. is a not for profit organization formed in 2008, based in Tiverton Ontario with our members coming from all over Bruce, Grey and Huron counties.
Our goal is to become one of the premier rugby clubs in Southern Ontario. This includes the promotion and development of youth, women’s, men’s and children’s rugby programs along with competitive play at the regional, provincial, national and Olympic levels. Escalating costs associated with the continued expansion of these programs tells us that we cannot reach this goal without the generosity and help of sponsors and donors.
You can help us by providing funds in the form of a monetary donation or by an in-kind donation of goods and services.
Bruce County RFC is proud of its affiliation with its sponsors and we ask that you in turn support our sponsors.
